A History of the Transformers
This history is focused on the history of the Transformers as told in the original Marvel Comics of the 1980s. Although it is still a work in progress, it aims to record every event seen or mentioned in the UK comic, the US comic, the US Generation 2 comic, and the UK annuals. The only exceptions being those individual stories that are clearly out of continuity for one reason or another, though I may include an apocrypha section at the end for those stories.
To make the history easier to follow, I've split it up into the following sections.
In the Beginning...
Covers everything from the origins of the Transformers to the Ark being reactivativated at the start of the comic's run.
1985: The War on Earth
Covers everything from the first issue up to the US story Prime Time and the UK story Christmas Breaker.
1986: Escalation
Covers everything from the US story Shooting Star / the UK story Crisis of Command to the US story Decepticon Graffiti / the UK story The Gift.
1987: The Grimlock Years
Will cover events from the Death of Prime in US story Afterdeath to his return as a Powermaster in US story People Power.
1988: Decimation
Will cover events from the return of Prime in US story Power Playto the Micromasters' arrival on Earth in US story King 'Con
The Unicron War
Will cover events from the Micromasters' arrival on Earth in US story King 'Con to the battle against Unicron at the end of the original series.
Generation 2
Will cover the Generation 2 series, and any events following on from that.
Earthforce
Will cover the Earthforce timeline and give detailed information on where it diverges from the "main" timeline
Timeline: 2006
Will cover the 2006 timeline seen from Target: 2006 through to Time Wars, and will give detailed information on where it diverges from the "main" timeline
Rhythms of Darkness
Will cover all the other timelines which follow on from Transformers: The Movie, and give detailed information on where they diverge from the other timelines.
